Today we’re diving into one of the most frequently missed aspects of knee health, lower body pain and returning to peak performance….

Strength balance.
And if you’re thinking….huh? No worries, let’s break it down.
Your right knee has a certain amount of strength.
Your left knee has a certain amount of strength.
If they’re equal - great. If they’re not equal - that can be a reason for pain.
But here’s the kicker….98% of clinics aren’t checking this kind of thing!
If one knee is a lot stronger than another it can lead to….
Knee pain
Achilles tendonitis
Hip pain
Low back pain
Just this past week, I worked with a client with Achilles tendonitis that had tried the usual rest, ice, walking boot, stretching, etc route with no relief before working with me.
Want to know the treatment that have them instant relief?
Knee strengthening.
Why? Well we could talk about this for hours but basically our achilles is set-up to where it can compensate for a weaker knee. If that happens for long enough - irritated achilles it is.
The body really is wild, friends. This is why having a full body evaluation where strength, mobility and activity are taken into account is crucial if you want to avoid the typical rest, ice, time-off dance.
